The Cotton Brazil project was launched at the end of last year by the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers (Abrapa), in collaboration with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) and the National Association of Cotton Exporters (Anea). A roadshow was initiated to China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, India, Thailand and South Korea, which are the nine targeted countries to increase Brazilian exports, eventually allowing Brazil to surpass the U.S. as the top cotton exporter in the world.
