Gourds crop failure happened due to the damage happened to the "pandals" (a structure for growing the gourd vegetables; a temporary shed erected for the cultivation) by the heavy down pouring of rain in Tamilnadu- Karnataka- Andhra growing belt during 15th November to 22nd November.
