Turkish dried fig has always been a popular product in the European market, especially in Germany, France, and Italy. Their demands in the first three months of the season (October-December) increased compared to 2020. Italian market saw the biggest increase with 37%, amounting to 12,5 million USD worth of import. Meanwhile, medium-size markets such as Spain and Slovakia also increased their import volumes by 70% and 26% to establish themselves as major importers.
