Dried apricot prices in Baskil, Elazig reach 4 USD per kg

Apricot harvest is coming to an end in the Baskil district of Elazig. The district is responsible for 95% of the apricot production in the city and most of the apricots are used for dried apricot production. The annual production yield in the district is around 60 KMT and the production area is approximately 10,000 hectares. Currently, the fresh apricot farm gate price is around 0.70 USD per kg whereas dried apricot prices vary between 3 USD and 4 USD per kg.
