During W48, heavy rains of more than 100 mm have fallen in the São Francisco Valley, affecting grapes and mangoes. On November 30th, it rained twice the historical average for November. Experts attribute the influence of La Niña, which historically causes much beyond average rainfalls in northeastern Brazil. Many producers reported that the structures that hold their grapes fell due to the storms, roads became inaccessible, and flooding affected urban areas.
