Ecuador's plantain industry is experiencing drastic changes. The plantain supply is falling short and prices are beginning to rise. On the other hand, the summer is arriving and the change in climate conditions creates vulnerability in the quality of plantains. At this moment, plantain suppliers demand a 10% of tolerance in quality variations to their buyers in order to make a trade happen.
