During W4, Egyptian mandarins sold at wholesale prices between USD 15.7-18.6/10kg box (BRL 80-95) class 1. Spanish mandarines are scarce, and pricing is higher at around USD 21.6-23.5/10 kg box (BRL 110-120) of CAT 1. The Egyptian mandarins have an advantage over the Spanish, as they are under the bilateral agreement between Brazil and Egypt and receive a full exemption from import taxes. The import of Egyptian mandarins is forecasted to increase next season.
