The supply of Clove from the West Sumatra region in Indonesia is already decreasing in W10 due to the end of the season. The traders and collectors of cloves in the area anticipate that the supply from Aceh, a nearby province, will begin to arrive in mid-March 2023. Cloves from Aceh are generally of superior quality than those from West Sumatra, but they cost about 2-3% more. Nonetheless, the volume is insufficient to counter the rising price.
