Limited Supply of Chilean Coho Salmon After the Season Has Ended, With the New Season Expected to Start in September 2023

Chile's Coho salmon industry is facing a reduction in available stock from the largest Chilean supplier after the fishing season ended in March 2023. While most of the Coho is being exported to Asian markets, exports to Europe, particularly to Portugal, have increased with higher demand in 2023 than last season. For the coming week, there is a limited amount of remaining stock, with only 40MT available from its largest supplier in industrial and D quality. The new Chilean Coho salmon season is expected to start in September 2023.
