In the past 10 years, the production of organic chicken has grown 15% annually. Nearly 25 million chickens are certified as organic in the region, which represent roughly 60 million MT of meat production. 75% of the region's production is produced by four countries, Germany, France, Italy, and the UK. Other countries in the bloc such as Spain are now focusing more on this product as it is an increasingly preferred choice by European consumers.
