UK Wholesalers have experienced a confusing drop in sales of exotic products since the pandemic began in 2020. Pre-Covid wholesalers were moving large volumes of Dragon Fruits, Thai Lemon Grass, Lychee, Passion Fruit, Pandan Leaf, Okra, etc. However, since the pandemic, these volumes have decreased nearly in half. UK Wholesalers are guessing why the restaurant business - a significant outlet for exotic goods - has been relatively stable in the last year, despite the pandemic. The UK lifted many Covid mandates recently. Wholesalers are curious if the exotic market will now pick up again.
