Portuguese Seafood Prices Expected to Decrease

Portuguese seafood imports are expected to decrease in August 2022 for the products like salmon, hake, cod, and other species that have their consumption peak during European winter. However, seafood species more consumed in summer, like clams, crabs, or shrimp are in high demand and seafood importers are shipping good volumes to supply the Portuguese market. Overall, seafood prices are expected to decrease slightly in the near term as already observed among Vietnamese clams and Vannamei shrimp of Indian origin.
