In W25, a leading Pangasius supplier has reported significant fluctuations and sharp increases in freight rates from Vietnam to Europe, primarily due to the concentration of shipping lines in China and congestion at the Singapore port. In Jun-24, freight costs to the European Union (EU) surged by over USD 10,000. The supplier emphasized that the price increase in the pangasius market is driven by these elevated freight costs, not by changes in raw material prices, which have remained stable.
