"In Ukraine, there is a chronic deficit of storage capacities. We have a situation where there are many vegetables of the borscht set in the fields, and farmers do not want to store them – especially when we talk about situational players, not systemic ones. They do not want to take on the risks: whether it will arrive or not, whether there will be light or not. It is better to get the funds now, even by selling cheaper," said Taras Bashtannik, president of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association.
