Kenyan Fresh Mango Prices Continue to Decline in February Due to High Maturity Rate

Kenyan supplier are sourcing export grade fresh mangoes at USD 1.13 (Ksh. 140) per 4kg box in W5 compared to USD 1.37 (Ksh. 170) in January. Prices continue to decline due to low demand for export mangoes due to the high maturity rate. This is working to the benefit of dried mango and pulp processors who are sourcing mangoes at USD 0.145-0.153/kg (Ksh. 18-19).
