Fresh farmed salmon from Scotland is in tight supply due to the harvest not growing as quickly as predicted, coupled with very high demand. This has increased prices for fresh, premium salmon whole head-on gutted 4-6 kg are currently around USD 10.25 to USD 10.50 per kg. Production is expected to be back on track in the summer months.
