Gran Rosario is said to be the largest agro-export complex in the world

In 2019, about 79M tons of grains, flours, and oils were exported from the ports of the Gran Rosario. According to a report by the Rosario Stock Exchange, this volume widely surpassed shipments made from other port nodes, such as New Orleans in the United States or Santos in Brazil. This makes the Argentine complex the most important agro-export port node in the world.
The oleaginous and port industrial complex occupies 70 kilometers of coastline on the Paraná River, which goes from the town of Timbúes (to the north) and to Arroyo Seco (located to the south of the city of Rosario). There are 31 port terminals that operate different types of cargo, where about 21 dispatch grains, oils, and by-products.
