Pakistan is one of the largest importers of yellow pea worldwide as a yellow pea is not grown on a commercial scale in Pakistan. Although, Pakistan imports more than 50% of its yellow pea from Russia, the demand for yellow pea in Pakistan is high for all origins in August as the harvesting season begins in supplying countries and new crops are available to the buyers for import.
