High gas prices discouraged winter production of tomatoes in Belgium and the Netherlands. On the other hand, mediterranean countries are expecting increased price and volume within the first 6 months of 2022 if pandemic retrictions eased.
Greek producers are cultivating new plants for the Spring/Summer season 2022 and expecting the fruitful season during the Easter season and the early tourism wave expected in Greece to begin in June.
