Pork imports in the Philippines has increased by 5% in the last six months compared to last year. The government has increased the pork quota and lowered its tariff to address the country's negative effects of the African Swine Flu. Among pork cuts, pork bellies have the highest increase at 30%. An increase is expected as importers ready themselves for the Christmas season.
