Increase of the port fee at the Jakarta Port, Indonesia

The new port tariff in Jakarta port, Indonesia has been in effect since last week. The tariff increases are on the lift-on/lift-off fee and the storage fee by more than 50%. But as compensation, the port authority reduces the overdue stacking penalty from a maximum 900% - 600% from the base fee. Importers are still counting on the impact of this new tariff on the total landed cost of the product. The prediction is that it will increase the cost by 4% to 8%.
