Cucumbers in the Tokyo market show an upward trend. In W3, the price of cucumbers started at USD 3.18/kg and rose to USD 3.65/kg, compared to W2 prices that stood between USD 3.16-3.2/kg. There is a smaller cucumber supply than in W2 due to rain in Southern Japan. Lower temperatures and less insolation decreased the supply for W3 by 5% WoW. Meanwhile, demand for cucumbers is growing for the celebration table on February 3, the last day of winter on the Japanese calendar.
