Indian shrimp exporters are avoiding exports to China due to high congestion at Chinese ports and new COVID-19 testing requirements enforced by the Chinese customs. A lot of cargo is stuck at ports affecting the shrimps quality and payment delays. Indian exporters do not plan on sending any shrimps for the next few months until the situation eases out. As an alternative, Shrimps can be shipped to Hong Kong for faster clearance, if Chinese buyers can take delivery from there.
