Lower Volume of Tangerines Exports in Argentina Due to Exchange Rate

The Chamber of Exporters of Citrus of the Argentine Northeast (Cecnea) warned about the sharp drop in exports of tangerines. Sales abroad during the current campaign have reduced by at least 37% YoY, complicating the regional economy of northern Argentina. The main obstacle is the exchange rate, which makes local products lose competitiveness since the peso devaluation is less than the increase in price inflation.
