The sea bream and sea bass market are still unbalanced. Since the beginning of Covid-19, the situation on this market has been heavily modified. Traditional farming countries like Turkey and Greece avoid selling smaller-sized fish (caliber 200-300) to maximize the gains. Portuguese farmers were concerned as they didn’t compete directly with Turkish or Greek producers in the past because the target market was a different market. Nowadays, Eastern Europe companies realize this could also be an interesting market and, with much lower production cost be an issue for traditional Portuguese farmers
