Measures taken from the Kaduna State Government in Nigeria to prevent banditry

There was a recent shutdown of telecommunication services and a ban on local motorcycle transport in some local government areas by the Kaduna State Government; especially in Southern Kaduna - Chikun, Kachia, Kajuru (biggest growers of fresh ginger in Nigeria). It was to quell the spate of banditry that is hindering the smallholder farmers from communicating and transporting their produce to ginger buyers and aggregators.
