Tanzania’s Meat Exports Increased 65.6% YoY in Q1, 2023

According to the Tanzania Meat Board (TMB), meat exports surged by 65.6% YoY in Q1 of 2023. Tanzania effectively kept up the gains made in 2022 when meat exports increased during the FIFA World Cup finals held in Qatar. In Q1 2023, meat exports totaled 4,577.5MT to the value of USD 24.36M, up from 2,765MT to the value of USD 11.07M in Q1 2022.
