Melon and Watermelon Seeds Suppliers Propose New Dates for Negotiating Purchases for the 2023 Season

Costa Rican melon and watermelon producers used to purchase seeds for each season in November, but seed suppliers alerted producers to buy seeds a month or two earlier for the 2023 season due to logistical difficulties with the arrival of the products. The early purchase of seeds led producers to anticipate the period for contract negotiating their land. Some suppliers are still seeking to negotiate their seed demand between W40 and W41.
