Mexican organizations are concerned about the possibility of importing beef and livestock from Argentina because they claim these goods are not free of aphthous fever. From congressmen in the northern region of Mexico to several agricultural associations, there is certain pressure towards the Mexican federal government to not allow the import of Argentinian beef and livestock, given that if they are not free of the mentioned disease, they would jeopardize people's health and also the health of Mexican livestock.
