At the beginning of the 2022/23 clementine season in Morocco, producers reported a 40% decline in harvest volumes of clementines compared to the 2021/22 season. Clementine also has quality issues, such as non-homogenous colour and damaged clementine peels caused by high temperatures from June until now. At the beginning of October, the price in the field was USD 0.35/kg, but due to low supply and high demand, it has increased to USD 0.55/kg in W44, where prices generally fall during this period. The current average export rate is only 60%, which could be expanded into other strategic markets including the Middle East, some African nations, Canada, the United States, and Russia.
