During W47, Brazilian authorities from ABRAFRUTAS and the Ministry of Foreign Relations informed that they are in the final phase of negotiations for the opening of the Chinese market to commence exports of grapes from Brazil. The forecast is that the agreement will be closed in the first half of 2023. Producers have started studying the Chinese market to understand the demands and the main varieties. As a challenge, Brazilians will need alternatives to face long transit times, or to use air freight.
