Norebo Holding, Russia's largest fishing company, plans to completely stop shipping headed & gutted (H&G) Pollock to China in 2022. Overall, they plan to reduce H&G production on their Pollock ships and increase the capacity of its large trawlers operating in the Far East to produce Pollock fillets in blocks and layers. The reduction in H&G would mean fewer raw materials for Chinese processors to produce frozen fillets. In contrast, Russian fillet production will increase from about 100,000 MT in 2021 to 100,000-115,000 MT in 2022.
