According to official data in Argentina, the YoY drop in orange exports was 47% in the season from April to October 2022. The drop was due to the increase in the cost of freight, a foreign exchange delay, an 80% increase in production costs in dollars, and a 30% devaluation of the Argentinian peso. Weather conditions have also affected the quality of the oranges, and there is a shortage of workers for the harvest.
