India is a major importer of Valencia oranges from Egypt. But this 2022, the import of Navel Oranges has also picked up. Most importers have booked containers for the season in the first week of December 2022. Containers will start landing in India in the last week of December 2022, and importers are expecting a sharp drop in prices when the containers reach. Prices may drop from USD 19.34/15kg box (INR 1,600/15kg box)to USD 13.29/15kg box (INR 1,100/15kg box) in the coming weeks.
