Pagaralam is Coffee Producing Regency in South Sumatra Province. Robusta Pagar Alam Coffee is one of the most sought after coffee from Indonesia due to it's characteristic of Full Bodied, Low Acidity with Earthy and Woody notes with Dark chocolaty finish. The peak of the coffee harvest season in Pagaralam this year is predicted to occur in July, or after Idul Fitri. So coffee farmers still have to wait patiently for their annual yields. “It is estimated that the peak of this year's coffee season will occur in July. This is due to weather factors," said Head of the Indonesian Agribusiness and Agro-Industry Society (MAI) Pagaralam Branch, Nisdiarti SE. Weather factors, such as continuous rain and high intensity, slowed down the development of coffee. The coffee flower which usually takes six months to develop has now become seven months. This further delay the harvest time. Not only that, the harvest for this year will not be as abundant as the previous year. But this depends on the care of each coffee farmer himself.
