Due to freight rate uncertainty, the suppliers in Pakistan have stopped working on CNF terms and are only offering FOB terms to the buyers. The suppliers were forced to take this action as shipping lines have started to raise freight rates multiple times in a month without any prior notice. Previously, the rates quoted by shipping lines would remain valid for an entire month, but now are raised frequently, making it harder for the suppliers to quote stable prices.
