South Africa has been given the green-light to start exporting citrus varieties to the Philippines. After 11 years of negotiation, a work plan has been agreed on by the two nations.
This agreement is a major achievement for the South African citrus industry, as the Philippines imported 117,000 between 2016 - 2018 and it is expected that this number will increase significantly over the next 3 - 5 years.
