Pineapple natural flowering affects the supply chain; this phenomenon mainly happens when differences in minimum and maximum temperature during the day of 10°C are present in the field, with a photoperiod decrease and stress on the plant. In Costa Rica, it is expected to affect the export volume of fruits, especially big-size pineapples, from W18 until W32 of 2023.
