Varieties such as Jonagored and Jonagold have been particularly impacted, while Gala apples are mainly unaffected. The Gala apple harvest will commence in the first week of Sept-24. Prices for Gala apples are anticipated to be 15 to 20% year-on-year (YoY) higher than last season, reflecting the overall reduction in European apple production.
