Wild Salmon Prices Plummet to Record Lows During W46, Yet Challenges Prevail in the Chinese Market

Wild salmon prices have nearly reached record lows, with Russian pink salmon HG prices dropping to USD 1,500 to 1,600 per metric ton (mt), a 60% year-on-year (YoY). Similarly, American Alaska pink salmon prices have fallen, ranging from USD 2,300 to 2,400/mt, marking a 50% YoY decline. Despite these significant price reductions, challenges persist in finding buyers in China.
