The 2023 Spanish tomato campaign is about to reach its peak production in W15 with the arrival of more hours of sunshine and high temperatures after the cold temperatures experienced recently. Therefore, excess tomato production is anticipated, pushing the price down. This downward price trend is expected to continue until June. In W14, the price for vine cherry tomatoes was around USD 3.08/kg EXW, which contrasts with the USD 4.96/kg a few weeks ago in times of scarcity.
