Vietnam's Tuna Exports to Russia Increased by 65% in Q1-24

According to statistics from Vietnam Customs, the export turnover of tuna from Vietnam to Russia surged from USD 14 million in 2021 to almost USD 29 million in 2023. In Q1-24, the export value soared to nearly USD 10 million, marking a substantial 65% year-over-year (YoY) increase. At this pace of expansion, Russia presently ranks as Vietnam's fourth-largest individual market for tuna imports. Frozen tuna meat/loin stands out as the primary export item among the various tuna products shipped from Vietnam to Russia, constituting approximately 75% of the overall export turnover.
