The price of skipjack tuna in Thailand has soared to its highest level in five years. Skipjack tuna is a commonly used raw material in the production of canned tuna. The price of whole frozen skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus Pelamis) for delivery in June, with the main size ranging between 1.8 and 3.4 kilograms, has experienced an increase of approximately 4.76%. In W23, the price range stood at USD 2,050- 2,100 per metric ton, CFR Bangkok, while buyers are aiming for a target price of USD 1,900 per metric ton.
