In W6, the Atlantic Salmon arriving at some processing plants in the UK, primarily from Scottish farms, is slightly smaller than previous weeks. This is further driving up the prices and reducing the supply of salmon by-products to Southeast Asia, where these products are in high demand. For instance, the most popular salmon head size desired is +500g, and smaller sizes of salmon, such as 2/3 Kg and 3/4 Kg, have been easier to come by. This has resulted in a price increase on by-products.
