The South Australian grain industry plans to grow the industry size from $3.8 billion to $6 billion by 2030. For this, South Australia wants to be the Australian origin of choice for baking wheat, soft grains, and feed grains. Moreover, the blueprint suggests the industry pursue carbon neutral status by 2030.

The blueprint has outlined six pillars to support accelerated growth in the industry — market opportunities; capturing value; biosecurity and market access; innovation; building industry capacity and infrastructure.

Grain Producers South Australia developed the blueprint with the help of $140,000 of State Government funding.
