In Kazakhstan, the reserves of grains and legumes as of February 1 exceeded 17 million tons.

As of February 1 of the current year, Kazakhstan had approximately 13.96 million tons of wheat available (13.83 million tons on the same date in 2025). This is reported by the National Statistics Bureau of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, food wheat reserves on that date amounted to about 12.2 million tons, seed wheat to 1.07 million tons, and feed wheat to about 687.6 thousand tons. Barley remained at approximately the same level as last year – 1.86 million tons. Corn reserves amounted to 139 thousand tons (compared to 126 thousand tons), oats – about 198 thousand tons (236 thousand tons). Buckwheat reserves are lower than last year’s – 71 thousand tons against 87 thousand tons. In total, as of February 1, Kazakhstan had 17.11 million tons of cereals and legumes (including rice) available, compared to 16.8 million tons on the same date last year.
