The southern region of Brazil, especially the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná, is on alert due to heavy rains in the region. High-risk flood and landslide alerts are active. At the end of W47, there were rains of more than 60mm/h, recording a series of accidents, floods, and landslides. The forecast is for heavy rain to continue in this region throughout W48. The most affected region was Santa Catarina, one of the largest banana producers in Brazil, supplying the fruit to the domestic market, Argentina and Uruguay.
