Demand for Spanish grapes during W35 was very high due to two primary reasons. Firstly, the adverse weather conditions in other producing regions in Europe, such as the recent rains in the Puglia area of Italy, resulted in lower production volumes in the market. Secondly, there is a lack of substitute products on the market due to the shortage of other seasonal products. Although producers are facing their peak production period, they do not have enough volumes to cover the current market demand. The price trend for red and black seedless grapes is upward trading between USD 2.20-2.30/kg EXW Spain. The price trend for white seedless is stable trading at USD 2.00-2.20/kg.
