Spanish import season from the Netherlands and Belgium has ended in April this year, because of the COVID-19. This year it was finished much earlier than before, which was usually in May or June. Due to Covid-19 spread and restrictions, people are forced to stay at home, so the consumption of fresh products had increased hugely. Aware of this huge consumption, the supermarkets are trying to secure their supply by contracting the product earlier this year.
