In Mexico, Michoacan and Jalisco, the primary strawberry-producing states, the current harvest is experiencing lower volumes than anticipated due to cold weather in key production areas. FOB (Free On Board) prices in McAllen for Michoacan and Jalisco strawberries range from USD 26 to 29 for 8x1 pound boxes, and the available volume at major distributors is insufficient to meet demand. Sales activity during W47 has been below average, likely influenced by the Thanksgiving holiday. Over W48, the harvest is expected to increase gradually, but prices are anticipated to remain high.
